As a former six-term member of the Indiana House of Representatives (1984-1996) and Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee (1994-1996), Sam Turpin has been involved in the Indiana business community and political arena for more than twenty years. 

While serving in the General Assembly, Mr. Turpin was instrumental in the passage of the State’s last balanced budget, welfare reform and the reduction of the license plate tax.   He was actively involved with numerous legislative issues and successfully guided many pro-business measures through the public policy process.   Mr. Turpin was a member of the House Commerce, Local Government, and Ways and Means Committees.  He also served on the State Budget Committee, State Tax and Policy Committee, and the Local Government Tax Control Board.   

Sam Turpin has extensive business experience in investment banking, commercial real estate and government relations. (Traub & Company, CB Richard Ellis and Conseco)

Mr. Turpin maintains an excellent working knowledge of Indiana fiscal policy, tax issues, and pending legislation, and is in regular contact with many Indiana’s business and political leaders. Sam Turpin has legislative expertise and government relations in Indiana, experience which qualifies him to effectively represent a variety of clients with diverse interests.
